Pranic Healing for Autism, ADHD, and ADD

If your child has been diagnosed with autism, ADHD, or ADD, you have probably already tried more than most people realise โ€” therapies, routines, diet changes, meetings at school. Pranic Healing is not a replacement for any of that. It is a gentle, no-touch energy practice that many parents use alongside their child’s existing care to help with the things that make daily life harder: restlessness, poor sleep, emotional outbursts, and trouble settling down.

It works on the body’s energy centres, the chakras, rather than the physical body directly. There is no medication and no physical contact, which is often why it suits children who find touch or clinical settings overwhelming. Sessions can be done in person or at a distance, so a child can receive healing while sitting at home in their own space.

How Pranic Healing supports children with autism and ADHD

Children with autism, ADHD, or ADD often carry a lot of stuck and overactive energy, especially around the head and the solar plexus, where we hold stress and emotion. Clearing that congestion is the same principle behind physical and emotional healing in general โ€” Pranic Healing removes the congested energy and replenishes it with fresh, calming energy. Parents who bring their children for sessions usually come hoping for a few specific things:

  • Calmer moods and fewer meltdowns, with quicker recovery when one does happen
  • Better focus and a longer attention span for schoolwork and play
  • Improved sleep, which tends to ease almost everything else
  • Less anxiety in new places, around new people, or when a routine changes
  • Smoother communication and more willingness to engage

None of this happens overnight, and it varies from child to child. What we aim for is steady, gentle progress that you and the people around your child can actually notice.

Signs your child might benefit from energy healing

Pranic Healing is not the right starting point for every situation, but there are some patterns where parents tend to see the most change. You might consider it if your child:

  • Struggles to wind down at night or wakes frequently
  • Becomes overwhelmed in busy or noisy places and takes a long time to recover
  • Has short bursts of focus followed by complete distraction
  • Reacts strongly to small changes in routine
  • Gets stuck in repetitive frustration or strong emotional loops
  • Is sensitive to touch, which can make hands-on therapies difficult

None of these are unique to autism or ADHD, and you do not need a formal diagnosis to ask for help. If a few of them sound familiar, it is worth a conversation.

Autism, ADHD, and the chakras

In Pranic Healing, behaviour and emotion are tied to the state of a person’s energy centres. With autism and ADHD, a few chakras tend to need the most attention.

The crown, forehead, and ajna chakras around the head are linked to focus, awareness, and mental clarity. The solar plexus chakra, just above the navel, holds stress and strong emotion, so it is often congested in children who are easily overwhelmed. The back heart chakra is connected to a child’s sensitivity and sense of calm. By cleansing these centres and energising them carefully, a healer helps the child’s own system settle into better balance.

This is why two children with very different diagnoses can be helped by similar work. The labels differ, but the energy centres involved overlap a great deal.

What a Pranic Healing session looks like

A session is quiet and undramatic, which surprises some parents. The healer scans your child’s energy field, clears the congested areas, and then energises them. Your child does not have to sit still, believe in anything, or even stay in the room the whole time. Younger children can play while the healer works.

Because Pranic Healing does not rely on touch or proximity, distance healing works just as well as an in-person session. For families outside Kolkata, or anywhere in the world, this is usually how we work โ€” your child stays home, and the session happens at an agreed time. If you would like to talk through your child’s situation first, you can message Shweta on WhatsApp and ask anything before deciding.

What parents can do at home: Superbrain Yoga and meditation

The sessions do more when they are supported by a few simple practices at home. These are easy to learn and cost nothing.

  • Superbrain Yoga is a short exercise that GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui recommended specifically for focus and mental energy. A few minutes a day makes a real difference for many children, and most kids enjoy it once it becomes a habit.
  • Twin Hearts Meditation is something you, as the parent, can do. A calmer parent changes the energy of the whole home, and children pick up on that more than we like to admit.
  • A steady routine and good sleep matter enormously. If schoolwork and exams are a flashpoint, you may find our notes on helping kids concentrate and supporting children during exams useful.

Diet plays a part too. The traditional protocol for these conditions suggests avoiding pork, catfish and eel, which are believed to weaken the relevant energy centres. Whether or not you follow that, keeping food simple and consistent tends to help.

A natural, drug-free approach for autism and ADHD

Most parents who find their way here are looking for something that supports their child without adding another medication. Pranic Healing fits that brief. It is drug-free and no-touch, and it does not interfere with anything else your child is doing โ€” therapy, school support, prescribed treatment or dietary changes all continue exactly as before.

It also pairs well with the other gentle, non-medication tools parents already use. Calming routines, breathing, time outdoors and aromatherapy all work on the same goal: a nervous system that is less on edge. A few drops of a calming essential oil such as lavender at bedtime, for instance, can make the wind-down easier, and a child who sleeps better is usually a child who copes better the next day. None of this replaces medical care. The point is simply that energy work sits comfortably inside the wider, drug-free side of your child’s routine rather than competing with it.

Pranic Healing vs Reiki for autism and ADHD

Parents often ask how this is different from Reiki or other energy work. The short answer is structure. Reiki channels energy in a more general way. Pranic Healing follows a precise, step-by-step method developed by GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui โ€” specific chakras, specific colours of energy, specific sequences, with scanning before and after to check the work. For a condition as individual as autism or ADHD, that precision is what lets a healer adjust the session to your particular child.

It also sits comfortably alongside conventional care. Pranic Healing is meant to complement occupational therapy, speech therapy, behavioural support and any medical treatment your child receives, never to replace them. And if the strain is taking a toll on you as a parent, counselling sessions are available too.

The Pranic Healing protocol for Autism and ADHD (for practitioners)

The following is the protocol GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui used to help Master Stephen Co’s daughter, shared publicly by Master Co. It is written for trained Pranic Healers. If you are a parent rather than a practitioner, please do not attempt this as a substitute for a session with a qualified healer โ€” book a session instead.

Note: Although the conditions differ, the same chakras are affected and are cleaned and energised in a similar way. When working on an infant or small child, be gentle with energising and with the use of colours.

  1. Invocation.
  2. Scan the chakras as needed โ€” before, during, and after the session.
  3. General sweeping with light whitish green: three times each on the front and back of the body.
  4. Energise all chakras (except the spleen and meng mein) with gold for three breathing cycles. Wait a couple of minutes.
  5. For the crown, forehead, ajna, throat, back head, and jaws: localised sweeping with light whitish violet, energise with light whitish violet then electric violet, and stabilise each with light whitish blue.
  6. Back heart chakra: clean the front heart with light whitish violet, activate the back heart with electric violet while mentally repeating “bigger, bigger, bigger,” then stabilise with light whitish blue. This increases sensitivity and awareness and has a calming effect.
  7. Solar plexus chakra: clean with electric violet, energise with a little electric violet, and inhibit with light whitish blue, depending on chakra size.
  8. Sex and perineum chakras: clean with light whitish green, then light whitish orange, and activate with light whitish red for ten or more breathing cycles, stabilising with light whitish blue. For an infant or small child, use white prana instead of light whitish red and energise gently โ€” scan to know when the child is full.
  9. Optional, depending on basic and navel chakra size: apply step 8 to these two chakras. Every child is different, so scan to decide.
  10. Optional: create an auric shield.
  11. Repeat the protocol three or more times a week.

Alongside the sessions, the parents should do the Transmutation of Sexual Energy (from the Pranic Psychotherapy book by GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui) for the child every day, and the child should practise Superbrain Yoga daily. Keeping the sex chakra strong, through that daily transmutation and Superbrain Yoga, is the key to this protocol. Repeat it regularly, and continue conventional therapy alongside it.

Getting started with Pranic Healing for your child

Starting is simple, and there is no commitment in reaching out.

  1. Have a conversation first. Tell us about your child โ€” the diagnosis if there is one, what daily life looks like, and what you most want to change. This shapes the whole approach.
  2. The first session. The healer scans your child’s energy, clears the congested areas and energises them gently. For distance sessions, you will be given a time and a few simple things to do at your end.
  3. A short rhythm of sessions. Because the protocol is repeated several times a week, early progress usually comes from a run of sessions rather than a single one.
  4. Support it at home. Superbrain Yoga for your child, Twin Hearts Meditation for you, and a steady routine all add to the effect.
  5. Review what changes. We check in on sleep, focus and mood โ€” the everyday markers that tell you whether it is helping.

If you would like to learn the techniques yourself so you can work with your child at home over the long term, the Pranic Healing classes teach the foundations.

FAQs about Pranic Healing for autism and ADHD

Is there a cure for autism or ADHD through Pranic Healing? No. Pranic Healing does not cure autism or ADHD, and anyone claiming a cure should be treated with caution. What it offers is complementary support โ€” many families notice their child is calmer, sleeps better and focuses more easily, which makes everyday life and other therapies work better.

Is it safe for children, including infants? Yes. It is no-touch and drug-free, so there is nothing physically applied to the child. With infants and small children, the healer uses gentler energy and softer colours, and scans constantly to avoid over-energising.

Can it be done remotely? Yes. Distance healing is just as effective as an in-person session and is how we work with most families outside Kolkata. Your child stays at home during the session.

How many sessions will my child need? It depends on the child and what you are hoping to improve. The protocol is usually repeated three or more times a week, and progress is gradual. We will talk through a realistic plan based on your child’s needs.

Does it replace my child’s doctor or therapist? Never. Pranic Healing works alongside medical care, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and behavioural support. Please keep following the advice of your child’s healthcare team.
