Pranic Healing comes from two words: Prana, which means vital energy, and Healing. Pranic Healing is a no-touch, no-drug complementary therapy system that uses prana to heal a wide range of physical and psychological ailments. Pranic Healing is highly systematic and scientific-based, distinguishing it from other healing modalities. It was developed by Grand Master Choa Kok Sui and is practised in over 120 countries. Pranic Healing also has departments in several hospitals around the globe, including California Neurosurgery hospitals and Apollo hospitals in Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai.

Pranic Healing is a no-touch energy healing technique that uses the body’s life force, also called “prana” or “chi,” to promote physical, emotional, and mental health. The philosophy behind pranic healing is that physical ailments and illnesses are caused by disruptions or blockages in the energy field surrounding the body, also known as the “aura.”

By scanning and cleansing these energy fields, pranic healing practitioners can remove blockages and allow the body’s natural healing mechanisms to function more efficiently. While it doesn’t replace traditional medicine, it can be used as a complementary therapy to help speed up recovery and enhance overall wellness.

Prana is the vital energy or life force that keeps the body healthy and alive. In Chinese, it is called Chi, in Japanese, Ki; and in Sanskrit, Prana. There are three primary sources of Prana: the air, the sun, and the ground.

Pranic Healing stands out because it’s so systematic and thorough. It’s not just about waving your hands and hoping for the best! You learn:

  • How energy fields and chakras influence health
  • Techniques like energy scanning, self-healing, and distance healing
  • The role of karma in health and personal growth
  • Practices like Meditation on Twin Hearts, which enhance well-being

Even at the beginner level, you can make real changes in your life and the lives of others. With regular practice, Pranic Healing can transform your health, reduce stress, improve relationships, and help you see life in a more positive light. It’s not just about healing—it’s about growing into a better version of yourself.

Pranic Healing can address a wide range of issues—there are no hard limits. People often come to us for conditions like:

  • Asthma or breathing difficulties
  • Joint and muscle problems like arthritis, back pain, and osteoporosis
  • Heart conditions
  • Migraines, cancer support, and digestive troubles
  • Stress-related problems
  • Emotional and psychological struggles like depression, addiction, or anxiety

It doesn’t just stop at physical symptoms—it also helps heal the emotional and mental roots of illnesses.

Absolutely! There are no restrictions on who can attend a session. Across India, there are many Pranic Healing Foundations that run Healing Centres, and many trained practitioners also offer sessions at their homes, often working around flexible schedules. Distance healing is also an option if someone can’t attend in person due to physical limitations.

The most important factor is the patient’s openness to the process. You don’t need to believe in it or have faith, but being receptive helps a lot. A big part of the session involves building trust so that patients feel comfortable discussing deeper emotional or lifestyle factors that could be tied to their condition.

Healing works best when the patient actively participates. This could mean practicing simple meditations, breathing techniques, light exercises, or even making small changes to their diet. While some purely physical issues might improve after just a few sessions, many cases need more effort—especially if stress, lifestyle choices, or habits are causing the problem. For example, someone working 12-hour days, 7 days a week, would need to make some adjustments for long-term stress relief. Healing is about treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

One common misconception is that healers might absorb or get contaminated by the patient’s energy. This is untrue when Pranic Healing is practiced correctly. Master Choa Kok Sui, the founder of modern Pranic Healing, developed techniques to ensure that contamination doesn’t happen. Of course, if a healer skips these steps, they could run into issues—but that’s more like blaming a car for an accident caused by careless driving!

Another myth is that Pranic Healing is hard to learn. While it does take some effort, it’s far from impossible—and it’s incredibly rewarding. For example, Reiki practitioners often find their results improve when they incorporate cleansing techniques from Pranic Healing.
